Claudio Cáceres

Claudio Cáceres is Assistant Professor in the Astronomy group of the Andrés Bello University in Chile.

His research interests are focused on understanding the extrasolar planet formation processes, studying planetary evolution in protoplanetary disks, and characterizing the structure and atmospheric composition of mature exoplanets. Moreover, he has focused his work on the analysis of radio and infrared interferometry (including ALMA, VLT/SAM and VLTI/Gravity among others), including spectro-photometric time-series analyses, and spectral analysis with several facilities.

Claudio obtained his PhD at the P. Unioversidad Católica de Chile in 2011, after a studentship stay at the European Southern Observatory (ESO). After that, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Universidad de Valparaíso.
